I have been ridiculously lazy lately when it comes to getting this new journal started. Juggling Liam and housework has been pretty tough, but I am getting by. We finally found a way that he does not mind to be worn, the Snuggli carrier. It's not too nice on my back, but it makes household chores a lot easier, since it leaves me with my hands free. We had his two month visit to the ped yesterday, and i have to say, I am so damn proud of us. He is up to 12 lbs and 24 inches. The little lima bean doubled his birthweight, and grew a whole 5 inches since birth. Needless to say, breastfeeding is going great. I have learned to ignore the pain of thrush, and am very optimistic that it will be gone soon. I'm currently saving money to buy cloth diapers, we've been through every damn brand of disposables, and his butt isn't taking it. Not to mention the fact that they are much better for the environment and our pocket. My dad volunteered to foot some of the bill, so I figure we'll be on board with that by the end of the month.
Things with Dario are pretty OK. It's been hard to have 2.5 seconds for eachother, with him working 2 jobs and going to school. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices for the greater good in the long run. We are more in love than ever though, and our bond is the strongest it has ever been. I have so much respect for him as a man and as a father now, it's kinda cheesy and beautiful.
Liam is waking from his nap now, I'll finish this later. I feel like I have a lot more to say, and it is coming out rather essayish.
